The 5th house enrolled in the "A Brush With Kindness" Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative is owned by Merle J. DeMier at 623 Normal Street in Tahlequah.  We had over 20 people come out to help us paint Merle's house.  Thank you Volunteers!  The top pictures are before and the bottom are after.  As if you can't tell!

Michelle Stroup bought this house 3 years a go and has remodeled the inside, but needed help with the outside.  TAHFH was proud to help Michelle with painting and minor exterior repair as part of the A Brush With Kindness project.  We love you, Michelle!

The Davidson family experienced damage to the front of the house when a tree fell on the porch during the ice storm 2 years ago.  They also needed help replacing exterior doors and windows to make their house more energy efficient.  They received their first utility bill recently and saw a $150 savings from last year.

Amy Dark bought this older house with thoughts of fixing it up, but the repairs were overwhelming.  A leaky roof was the most urgent as that causes damage to the entire house.  The Workforce Oklahoma crew assigned to Tahlequah Habitat found 5 layers of shingles on this section of the roof.  It took a full day to pull off the old shingles and another day to put on this new layer.  These shingles were odds and ends left over from other roof jobs that were donated by Tahlequah Lumber Company.  The crew mixed the colors together to make this beautiful roof!
